The
Rest Assured Collection of
innerspring mattresses by the
Marshall Mattress Company is sold exclusively through the
Hudson Bay Company (
HBC), a major Canadian retailer. It has only four models:
Serene,
Tranquil,
Verve and
Essence. Three of the models can be flipped, while one is a no-flip design. The heights range from 11½ to 12½ inches. The briefs of the models are as follows:

The
covers and borders of all
Rest Assured models are made of
viscose [rayon] blend Belgian damask. This bronze pinstripe quilted material is vented on the borders to encourage the flow of air into and out of the
mattress.
The content of the comfort upholstery varies from model-to-model.
Serene and
Tranquil have New Zealand
wool in the top layer, while
Verve and
Essence have soft
Hollofill pillow fibers.
All four models utilize soy
foam, but the firmness and form vary by model.
Serene has 3 layers, 2 flexible convoluted soy foam and 1 medium firm.
Tranquil has a layer each of soft and medium firm soy foam.
Verve uses 1 layer of thick convoluted foam and 2 of firm soy foam.
Essence employs 2 thick firm layers of soy.
Each of the models features compressed felt pads.
Verve has 2 layers of these. In each
Rest Assured model by
Marshall Mattress, the bottom layer is
cotton fibre.
Tranquil adds
polyester fibers. The Flip models have the same upholstery on each side.
One model in the
Rest Assured Collection (
Serene) has 1002 cotton-wrapped
pocket coils in Queen size mattresses. The
innerspring support core of the others is 858 pocket coils wrapped in
FibreTek fabric. Pocket coils, invented at the end of the Nineteenth Century, pre-date
memory foam by several decades. They have conforming support (a claim of memory foam) due to the individual support of the independent coils. Perimeter and edge support is supplied by the precise pattern of hand tufting. No foam encasement is used.
The
foundation for mattresses in the
Rest Assured Collection is a fully upholstered
platform. The upholstery matches the covers of the mattresses.
Rest Assured mattresses come with
Marshall Mattress Company's 10-year warranty.
