The ComfortCare Limited Collection is Restonic Mattress Corporation's luxury line, created to meet the current increase of the market for luxury beds. The outstanding features of the Limited line are Outlast Gold in the cover, hand-tufting, silk & wool in the quilting, and graphite-infused latex just beneath it. Features shared with the other ComfortCare series of collections are TempaGel, the Marvelous Middle, Superedge Plus™ foam encasement, and the individually wrapped tempered coils.
As described by Restonic, the luxury of ComfortCare Limited mattresses begins at the top with woven Damask cover. The fabric boasts silk and wool blended with Outlast Gold.
Outlast is textile fiber developed for NASA to protect astronauts from extreme temperatures. It is a Goldilocks material–not too hot, not too cold. Phase change materials (PCMs) are embedded in the fibers to regulate temperatures, keeping them within a designated range. PCMs liquify to absorb excess heat at the top of the range, and solidify to release heat at the bottom. Outlast Gold is the highest level of Outlast, effective for persons with night sweats. The other two levels are Silver and Bronze.
Silk and wool are known for wicking moisture. This keeps the top of the mattress dry. Wicked moisture evaporates, cooling the mattress. Silk is smooth, and wool is soft, combining for a luxurious feel (Restonic is not alone in using this blend). Silk & wool are also used in the quilting for padding.
Just beneath the cover is a layer of graphite-infused latex. Latex is a resilient material, both supportive and cushioning. The infused graphite conducts heat away. It also neutralizes odors. The latex is hypoallergenic and resistent to mildew. It is also breathable, as well as being more durable than memory foam.
TempaGel is another temperature control material. It is the patented Restonic formulation of gel memory foam. Gel infused into the memory foam absorbs heat and conveys it away from the sleeping surface. It also makes the memory foam more supportive. The memory foam conforms itself to the sleeper's body contours to relieve pressure and promote proper spinal posture.
Other foams are used in most of the ComfortCare Limited mattresses. These determine the comfort levels and heights of individual models.
All Restonic's ComfortCare mattresses, including those in the ComfortCare Limited Collection, are hybrid mattresses. A hybrid mattress is a combination of innerspring mattress and memory foam mattress or latex mattress.
The innerspring in the Limited models is individually wrapped pocket coils. These are conforming. They also eliminate motion tranfer to reduce partner disturbance. This works with the memory foam above for perssure relief. The coils are zoned in Restonic's Marvelous Middle to increase support in the center area of the mattress for better low back support and to increase the life of the mattress.
Superedge Plus foam encasement keeps the pocket coils in place. It also serves as edge support for the sleeping surface.
ComfortCare Limited mattresses are tufted by hand for comfort and durability.
Recommended foundations are wood-framed platforms, a steel-flex (non-coil) box spring, European wood slats, and adjustable beds.
Restonic provides a 15-year non-prorated warranty for mattresses in the ComfortCare Limited Collection.
