Restonic has been in the business of making beds since 1938. One of the main factors to consider when looking at a Restonic bed is the fact that for a total of 6 years Restonic was voted a best buy by Consumer Reports. The most recent best buy award was in 2006. Currently, Restonic offers three lines on their website, and for now we will look at the ComfortCare line. The ComfortCare from Restonic is considered an entry level bed, but it does feature some advanced technologies. One of those would be the Spiralok (Spiral Lock) spring system. This system uses a spiral spring which binds the base springs together. This is done, according to Restonic, to reduce transferred motion. Another innovation on the ComfortCare line is the Marvelous Middle system, which increases the number of springs, and presumably, the amount of support in the middle section.
The Restonic ComfortCare mattress also uses a foam surround at the base of the mattress called SuperEdge Plus. This is intended to increase usable space and seating area at the same time. The features found in the ComfortCare by Restonic lead us to believe that this is a firm mattress. Since little information was available online at the time this information was collected, it is hard to get an exact estimate on the feel and price of the bed. Given the technology applied to the ComfortCare line, we would estimate the price to be in the $800 - $1200 for a queen set. Directly from the manufacturers website, we can easily find that the warranty options for Restonic products are designed to cover a range of products. Each product line is categorized, and the specific category for the Restonic ComfortCare mattress was not directly available. We would estimate that the warranty would be 10 – 15 years, and anywhere from 5 years to the full term would be repaired/replaced at no cost. Since the Restonic ComfortCare mattress and bed set is not sold online, your retailer would be able to provide more detailed information for you to use to help make a good choice on your next bed purchase.
Update: ComfortCare is now a collection with the ComfortCare mattress as the first model.
