Mattresses in the BreezyCool Collection by Rush Mattress feature reticulated foam. First developed for applications where seat cushions get wet, such as on boats and outdoor furniture, reticulated foam has large vertical perforations to allow water to pass through. The first intent of this design was to dry out the foam cushion quickly. Used in mattresses, the purpose of the reticulation is ventilation for cooling and freshness, but it doesn't hurt that this also helps keep the mattress dry.
The current BreezyCool Mattresses Collection has five models. Additionally, private label mattreses in this collection are made to retailers' specifications. The five models are Avignon, Bordeaux, Orleans, Poitiers and Toulon. They range from 8 to 12 inches in height.
Each model has about 6" of Rush Support Polycore, a polyurethane foam support core. This provides the deep underlying support for the whole mattress. According to Rush, the foams have an open-cell structure and are made without formaldehyde, heavy metals, or CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons). Rush does nor pre-compress their mattresses. And they do not roll them up for shipping.
Each model also has a cover of stretch knit fabric.
Each BreezyCool mattress has 2" of reticulated foam. The simplest model, 8" Avignon, has just the reticulated foam and the Polycore plus the cover. Other models add other foams, such as ½" of memory foam in 9" Bordeaux, 1" of memory foam in 10" Orleans, 1½" of gel-infused memory foam in 11" Poitiers, and 2" of gel-infused memory foam in 12" Toulon. The firmness levels are firm to medium.
The Rush Mattress warranty on their BreezyCool Mattresses is for 10 years full coverage.
