The signature features of models in the SimplyNatural Latex Mattress Collection by Rush Mattress are the "simply natural" materials. The key materials are natural latex, natural organic cotton, and natural wool.
Rush Mattress's SimplyNatural collection of latex mattresses has three models: SimplyPlush, SimplyClassic and SimplyFirm. The overall comfort levels are indicated by the model names, with Classic being Medium (called Plush Firm by another manufacturer). The mattresses progress in firmness inversely to their heights—12" for SimplyPlush, 10" for SimplyClassic, and 8" for SimplyFirm.
The core of each mattress in the SimplyNatural Collection is the 6" Rush Support All-Natural LatexCore™. Latex foam, also known as foam rubber, is highly resilient and elastic. It can be pushed in or pulled out, but it pushes or pulls back. Latex is also hypoallergenic and resistant to bacteria, mold and dust mites. This latex core is Cushion Firm in the SimplyPlush model, and Firm in SimplyClassic and SimplyFirm.
Rush Mattress explains that the latex is natural but not organic. How's that? Their latex is made from rubber tree sap, so it's natural. But the added ingredients to make the foam remove it from being organic. Then the proteins are washed out after curing, which removes the allergens.
On top of the latex support core are one or more latex comfort layers. The one 2" layer in SimplyFirm is Firm. SimplyClassic has two 2" layers, one Cushion Firm and the other Plush. The two 3" latex comfort layers in SimplyPlush are Plush and Ultra Plush.
The organic cotton stretch knit covers of SimplyNatural mattresses are zippered. They are quilted to organic cotton fill. Under the cover is a layer of compressed wool. This is breathable and naturally a fire retardant, which means no chemicals.
The warranty on SimplyNatural Latex Mattresses is not stated, but if it is the same as for the BreezyCool Collection, it is 10 years.
