The Saatva Firm mattress, the firmest of the Saatva mattresses, is 8 (out of 1-10) on the Mattress Comfort Scale, meaning it is "firm but not hard." The foams and pads in this model are firmer than those used in the Luxury Firm and Plush Soft. As to the feel of this model, Saatva says, "When you lie down you will feel an initial plushness quickly followed by the firm support you desire. Our core is just the right firmness balance to ensure you don’t sink into the mattress or feel like you are sleeping on a board." They advise you to select the Firm if:
• You prefer to sleep on your back or stomach,
• You prefer a mattress that you float on top of instead of sink into,
• Your health professional recommends a firm mattress
• You prefer a firmer mattress.

The Firm shares the same coils as the Luxury Firm and Plush Soft mattresses: The support coils in the 7" Support System are connected tempered steel hourglass springs with the steel Chiro-guard lumbar support enhancement and surrounded by the "Dual Torsion Steel Edge Guards." The fiber bottom pad is ⁷/₈" and the loft pad above is ¹/₂" high.

The 4" Comfort System's pocket coils are individually wrapped as in the other two models to make them resposive to the shape and weight of the sleepers' bodies. But whereas the other models use soft foam in the inserted topper, the Saatva Firm has ⁷/₈" of extra firm foam with the ³/₈" visco-elastic memory foam lumbar pad.

The Firmness of the Saatva Firm mattress continues into the cover, which differs from the others in having 1¹/₂" of firm foam quilted in.

The Saatva Firm mattress shares the same 15-year warranty with the Luxury Firm and Plush Soft models.
