Sealy Brand Traditional Innerspring Series
The Traditional Innerspring Series is one of three series of the Sealy Brand of mattresses by Sealy, a major division of Tempur Sealy, International.

As the name of the series implies, the models are essentially like the mattresses for which Sealy has been known for a long time. The primary feature is the innerspring support unit. Though not stated explicitly, the Sealy website indicates that the 420 SealyTech innerspring system is being supplanted by the patented 667 PostureTech™ innerspring. A Sealy promotional description says, "For a step up in support, this innovative spring by Sealy senses your individual body weight and responds with the very best support in the industry, at a budget price." As to the price, Sealy Traditional Innespring mattresses are relatively inexpensive. As to the "step up in support," Sealy says their springs are twice-tempered, making them more resistant to sagging than untempered springs.

The perimeter support of the innerspring and edge support for the entire Sealy Brand Traditional Innerspring mattress is the Sealy Advant-Edge System. Here is how Sealy describes it: "The Advant-Edge System is inserted between the two outer rows of innersprings, This is the Sealy basic edge system offering stability not seen in most entry-level mattress edge systems." From their description, I see that this provides support a little ways in from the edge.

Between the 667 PostureTech™ innerspring and the sleeper in the Sealy Brand Traditional Innerspring mattress is a top layer of memory foam, Sealy's own Gel Orthozone® II Gel Memory Foam. This serves more than one purpose. First, this is padding to cushion and smooth out the support of the springs. With memory foam, this includes conformity to the shape and weight of the user's body. Then, this softens the firmness of the innerspring unit. Finally, being gel foam, the gel draws heat away to cool the sleeping surface.

Next to the sleeper is the cover. On the Sealy Brand Traditional Innerspring mattress, this is a quilted stretch knit with silk and wool. This is a durable, breathable cover with a smooth feel. The wool has moisture wicking properties to keep the sleeping surface dry. Wool is also naturally flame resistant.

On the Sealy Brand Traditional Innerspring Series page is an "Options" tab. Besides sizes, the customer can also select the comfort level. For these Traditional Innerspring mattresses, four comfort levels are available: Firm, Cushion Firm, Plush, Ultra Plush. Comfort levels are determined by the foams used in the comfort layers. These levels are defined by Sealy as follows:
~ Firm: For customers who want a stiff surface support with just a hint of softness for comfort.
~ Cushion Firm: For customers who want a substantial surface support with quilted softness for comfort.
~ Plush: For customers who are looking for a soft, cushioning surface with deep support.
~ Ultra Plush: For customers who are looking for an enveloping softness with deep support.

Mattresses in the Sealy Brand Traditional Innerspring Series carry a warranty having up to 10 years of coverage. They are available at several retailers. Several models are available. Comparing retailer listings, it appears that retailers select the model names, such as Drayton, Debonaire, Logan, and Parasol.
