Sealy, a partner with Tempur-Pedic in Tempur-Sealy International, has unveiled three new series of Posturepedic mattresses; the revised Posturepedic Series, the Posturepedic Plus Series, and the Posturepedic Premier Hybrid Series.
All three series feature the Sealy Embrace™ encased pocket coils and Sealy's CoreSupport™ Center mid-section support. Each series offers its models four comfort levels: Firm, Cushion Firm, Plush and Ultra Plush. This introduction coincides with the 65th anniversary of Posturepedic.
The Posturepedic Plus Series has more coils and thicker memory foam than the Posturepedic Series.
Models in the Posturepedic Plus Series have a cover of a durable knit fabric. The spun yarns are treated to wick moisture for keeping the sleeping surface dry and warm. The side panels are breathable. This lets air enter and leave to cool the mattress and keep it fresh.
Posturepedic Plus innerspring mattresses also have gel memory form. The memory foam conforms to the sleeper's body to relieve pressure. Gel infused into the memory foam enhances its support and conducts heat away for dissipation.
The support unit of Sealy Posturepedic Plus Series mattresses is an innerspring of individually encased coils. These pocket coils have an independent response to the weight and shape of the sleeper, distributing support evenly for pressure relief and proper spinal posture. Since they respond separately, they do not transfer motion across the bed. This minimizes partner disturbance, so when Dad gets up, Mom can keep snoozing (and vice versa).
Sealy's CoreSupport™ Center puts a gel band across the center third of the mattress for more support to the lumbar. Sealy says this gel is reinforced, but doesn't say how. This gel is not only to provide more support, but also to increase the durability of the mattress.
The innerspring is belted by Sealy's SolidEdge™ HD System. This 2½" wide reinforced foam rail protects and girds the coils while supplying edge support for the sleeping area. This makes it usable all the way across. It also keep edge sag from making a sleeper roll off. You can sit securely on the edge.
Handles wrapped around the corners make it easier to move a Posturepedic Plus mattress than one without handles or with only side handles.
Foundations suitable for Posturepedic Plus Series models include KD type platforms and adjustable beds. Sealy sells two adjustable bed models, the Reflexion 4 Adjustable Motion Foundation and the Reflexion UP Foundation. The Reflexion UP is like a flat foundation with a head section which can be raised using a wired remote.
All mattresses in the Posturepedic Plus Series are covered by Sealy's 10-year non-prorated warranty.
