The Sealy PurEmbrace Latex Autumn Prairie LTD uses a multi-zoned latex system to tailor the support you get from head to foot. There is a total of 5 inches of various latex to provide comfort and support, with almost 9 inches of latex core foam underneath.
If you have never slept on latex, you are in for a real treat with a mattress like this. You get several distinct advantages with mattresses like the PurEmbrace Latex Autumn Prairie LTD by Sealy. First off, there is absolutely no metal involved in the production of this mattress. No metal means much less opportunity for pressure points. Secondly, you get a "springy" feel from latex, unlike with memory foam where the resistance provided by the mattress is more cloud-like. Third, with a density which can be lower than comparable memory foam, you will sleep cooler. As an example, if you drop an egg into a bowl of pudding, you will get an exact impression of the egg and a specific depth of penetration. This would be similar to memory foam. Now imagine dropping the same egg into a bowl of gelatin. You may get similar penetration, but the egg will spring back up. This would be more like latex foam.
