Serta Perfect Sleeper Ultra Firm

The Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress is a step above entry level, and has some features you would expect to find in this category. The ultra firm models of the Perfect Sleeper all feature zoned support in the center third of the mattress for improved support in the hip and low back area, as well as the Foam Encased edge support system. These two features alone do not make the bed (no pun intended), but have a substantial impact on its comfort and quality. With that being said, you cannot overlook other patented features such as the Continuous Support System coil spring system and FireBlocker cover materials which exceed all current and proposed fire safety regulations – both state and federal – and was certified by the Underwriters Labs.

With the Perfect Sleeper line of ultra firm mattresses, which may be found as the Du Jour, City Charmer, and Soft Lace, you can take advantage of the Foam Encased edge support system as well as the zoned support layer. The zoned layer provides additional comfort and resistance at the upper levels and helps to broaden and reduce pressure transmitted to the firmer layers as well as the spring network. This is important because if you do not disperse your body weight, you will feel the springs as you sleep, which could create dozens of uncomfortable pressure points. The higher resistance under the heavier parts of your body will help to disperse your weight more effectively and increase the comfort level of the mattress. The Encased Edge side support system is simply a firm foam barrier around the outside edge of the mattress which acts to stiffen the side area for sitting, and also to contain the springs, which will reduce side-to-side motion some.

In all, the ultra firm portion of the Perfect Sleeper line from Serta seems to be a choice which will not cost an arm and a leg, but will support them nicely (ok, pun intended that time). If you frequently go camping, or have slept on the floor recently, and do not wake with pain, then this may be a considerable sleep system for you. If you do want to stay in an affordable price range but want to have a slightly softer mattress, then check out the Perfect Sleeper Firm or plush model mattresses.
