Shifman Quilted Collection
The
Quilted Collection is the least expensive line of innerspring mattresses produced by
Shifman Mattress Company. This collection differs from the other Shifman innerspring collections in having a machine quilted surface layer rather than being hand-tufted. This is the principal reason mattresses in this collection cost less than those in the
Masters Collection and the
Ultra Premium Collection.
The
Shifman Quilted Collection has at least three models: Chadwick, Hampshire, and Cambridge. All of them have 390 coils in the queen size. These 13-gauge steel coils are heavier than the 15-18 ga. coils used in most other brands (the lower the number, the thicker the wire).
The heights of mattresses in the
Shifman Quilted Collection range from 10 to 13 inches. With the 9" boxspring, the overall height of the set is 19 to 22 inches.
The comfort core of
Quilted Collection mattresses features a thick layer of cotton to keep the sleepers warmer when it's cold and cooler when it's hot. They also have a layer of convoluted foam.
Like other Shifman mattresses, those in the
Quilted Collection are two-sided, which significantly extends the useful life of the mattress, yet they only have a 7-year limited warranty.
