Simmons Natural Care

Natural Care is a line of latex mattresses made by Simmons. The tagline for this line is "Sleep closer to nature." It is no longer listed on their website, but it was available until late 2013. Among retailers selling Natural Care mattresses were Sears, JC Penney, US Mattress and Olejo Stores. One series of Natural Care mattresses was made for and promoted by environmental lifestyle expert Danny Seo.

Primary support for Natural Care is provided by the AirCool™ Transflexion® Core, the same feature found in Beautyrest Comforpedic memory foam mattresses. This support core is 6" or 6½" high, depending on the model. It is called "AirCool" because it is structured to enhance circulation of air through the mattress for cooling and ventilation. The AirCool Design also includes the edge support, which is ventilated, and mesh borders.

Four models are described in the Simmons brochure for Natural Care: New Life, Nourishing Comfort, Renewed Spirits and Advanced Rejuvenation, ranging from 9½" to 10¾" in height with firmness levels from Plush to Ultra Plush. Four other model names (Candace Valley, Colony Grove, Valley Park, and Willowbrook) are listed for Natural Care on retailers' sites. These model names are particular to the retailers, and each has 3 or 4 firmness levels listed.

The stretch-knit cover fabric for all Natural Care models is Tencel® treated with Aloe Vera. Tencel®, made of wood pulp cellulose, is used by several mattress manufacturers for durability. This is quilted with Simmons' PurFoam. Below this is the latex comfort layer, which is 65% natural tree-sap latex. The height of this layer varies by model.

According to Simmons, materials in Natural Care are certified by CertiPUR-US and Oeko-Tex. These models carry a 25-year limited warranty.
