Sleep Number Memory Foam m7 by Select Comfort

The Sleep Number Memory Foam m7 is the entry airbed in the Memory Foam Series by Select Comfort. About this series, Select Comfort says, "Memory Foam just found its better half - Sleep Number." As the name of the series implies, the Memory Foam Series features the trademark Sleep Number airbed with a memory foam top.

The Memory Foam m7 is 12 inches high, covered with a quilted knit rayon-polyester fabric. Featured as soft and breathable, the cover knit is treated for antimicrobial protection for better health and enduring freshness. Just below this cover, closer to the sleeper's body than the air chambers, is a 3-inch layer of CoolFit™ Gel Memory Foam which, Sleep Number claims, "offers cool, soothing comfort." According to Select Comfort, "Gel technology enhances memory foam to allow for more airflow, creating a cooler, more comfortable sleeping temperature." This is similar to claims by other manufacturers about gel memory foam, where the memory foam is infused with gel beads to function as a heat sink.

The principle support of the Memory Foam m7 by Select Comfort is the Sleep Number airbed with two chambers, except for Twin size (the single chamber is an option for Queen size). This is controlled by the wireless digital remote, which feature Full Fill (for maximum firmness) and Memory (to save your favorite settings). Levels of firmness have set numbers, hence the trade name Sleep Number, as in the ad line, "What is your sleep number?"

The recommended foundations for the Sleep Number Memory Foam m7 by Select Comfort, in the place of box springs, are the Modular Base, the FlexFit™ Adjustable Base, and the FlexFit™ PLUS Adjustable Base. The cost of the Modular Base is included in the set price of the airbed. It is a vented solid-top platform made from durable material in the USA. The optional FlexFit™ and FlexFit™ PLUS are articulated foundations. The head and the foot can be raised to the desired angles to enhance comfort or for theraputic reasons. The PLUS adds the option of a massage feature.

In addition to the available bases is the Sleep Number® Rolling Bed Frame, an all-metal bed frame with roller casters for easier moving of the airbed.
