Sleep Number Performance p6 by Select Comfort
The Sleep Number Performance p6 is the premium model of the Performance Series of airbeds by Select Comfort. "Experience soothing sleep," is how they bill this bed, citing the cover and
support layer.
The p6 is a 12" high airbed featuring a pillowtop above the Sleep Number air support layer. The
sleeping surface of the Sleep Number Performance p6 is a 100% rayon quilted spacer knit, which
is breathable and soft. Filling out the pillow top are moisture wicking fiber fill, 1 inch of quilted
supersoft foam, and 3 inches of Intralux® support foam. The Intralux has three zones for the even
distribution of body weight. The entire pillowtop includes antimicrobial protection for health and
freshness. Select Comfort touts this pillowtop as being generously plush, promising "enhanced
pressure relief."
The signature feature of the Sleep Number Performance p6 by Select Comfort, as of the other
Select Comfort beds, is the SLEEP NUMBER® DualAir™ technology. Two air chambers, one
on either side of the bed*, are controlled by wireless digital hand controls. The sleepers
individually select their comfort levels, known as their sleep numbers (thus the names
Select Comfort and Sleep Number).
The overall comfort level of the Sleep Number Performance p6 by Select Comfort is a composite
of the firmness of the air support and the plushness of the pillowtop.
*Note: The Twin and Twin XL sizes have only one air chamber. The single
chamber is an option for Queen and Expanded Queen, providing more choices for the buyer.
