Spring Air Back Supporter 700 Series

Spring Air revamped its lineup of beds in 2013. The Back Supporter brand now has two series, the Back Supporter 700 Series and the Back Supporter 500 Series. These are innerspring mattresses. In addition, there is a new brand, Sleep Sense, which consists of hybrids.

The Back Supporter 700 Series is also known as the "Perfect Balance 700 Series"—in fact, Spring Air calls this series "the flagship of the Perfect Balance line." These innerspring mattresses have at their core 5 zones of pocketed coils (there are two gauges of coils). Each zone is positioned and shaped to tailor support to the weight and contour of the user's body, providing what Spring Air calls "unsurpassed support." They claim that it makes sleep "more comfortable and restful." This pocket-coil core is foam encased, to keep the individual coils in place for stability and durability while yielding "premium comfort."

The pocket-coil innerspring core of the Back Supporter 700 is topped with a latex and memory foam topper. While the memory foam comforms to the body, the latex is to provide more support. Spring Air did not disclose the origin of the latex in its site, but we know that available latex includes natural latex, made from the sap of the Amazonian rubber tree, and synthetic latex, formulated from petroleum products. Some of the memory foam is now infused with gel to enhance support and conduct heat away from the sleeping surface. The gel memory foam is caled "Comforma Gel" by Spring Air.

Spring Air supplies an "Eco-wood" foundation to support its Back Supporter 700 Series mattresses. Spring Air did not explain exactly what "eco-wood" is, but an Internet search found the term applied to wood which has been treated with a non-toxic, ecologically friendly wood treatment called "Eco Wood." This foundation should support the weight of both the mattress and anyone sleeping on it while enhancing the durability of the mattress for several years.

Heights of Spring Air Back Supporter 700 mattresses vary from 11" to 18". The covers use 1.0 ounce per square inch Fire Resistant Anti-Microbial Fibers. Some of the other fibers used, depending on the model, are cashmere, silk and wool.

The Spring Air Back Supporter 700 Series carries a 10-year non-prorated warranty.
