Spring Air Back Supporter Ultra Firm

The Spring Air Back Supporter brand of mattresses includes a wide range of mattresses broken into three categories, the Value Collection, the Total Balance Collection, and the Four Seasons Collection. Since these categories are typically only used by the manufacturer, we’re going to review the Back Supporter line as only the two typical lines you would see in stores – the Spring Air Back Supporter and the Spring Air Four Seasons. Since the Back Supporter is the most popular brand from Spring Air, we will start by examining that collection. As you would expect, these are the more budget friendly models, and as such are equipped with only basic to intermediate features and components. What you may not expect is the quality the Spring Air strives for, even in its entry level models.

The Spring Air Back Supporter line uses a coil spring design called Activ-Coil. The Activ-Coil innerspring network uses hourglass shaped springs which are zoned from head to foot and attempt to tailor the support provided by increasing the resistance as more weight is applied. This means that your body will have support based on the weight applied in that area, not a one-size-fits-all type of support. You also have peace of mind knowing that the quilted fire retardant cover is antimicrobial, which should be more sanitary and resist germs which may lead to illness. You will also see a basic edge support system, such as the Spring Air Dual Performance Cups, which are around selected side and corner springs to increase edge firmness for sitting and roll-off prevention.

The ultra firm models of the Back Supporter line from Spring Air may include names like Radience, Caress, and Conrad. Typically you will find the Back Supporter ultra firm variants for much less than $1000 for the queen set, but some designer models may exceed that. You should make sure that as you shop for an ultra firm mattress, you consider the sleep trial period offered. Spring Air offers a 10 year warranty with no flip or rotation required.

Update
Spring Air lists the Back Supporter subtypes as Euro Top, Plush Top, and Tight Top, and sub-model names are used by retailers. "Four Seasons" is no longer listed on the Spring Air website.
