Signature Collection
Signature is one of the two newest collections from
Stearns & Foster. According to news releases and industry articles, this is a fusion of new technology with "legendary craftsmanship."
Signature was unveiled at the Winter 2014 Las Vegas World Market the same time as the updated
Estate and
Lux Estate collections. The other new collection is
Lux Estate Hybrid.

QUILT -
Signature Collection mattresses are covered with a silk-wool blend and quilted with
Outlast and
S&F's
PrimaCool aerated foam.
OUTLAST has
Phase Change Materials to regulate temperature. According to one retailer, the fabric isn't just quilted to foam, but is "woven around" it. Natural fibers in the upholstery have a high gram weight.
COMFORT LAYERS - The comfort layers of
Stearns & Foster Signature mattresses utilize three
S&F proprietary
foams:
PrimaCool™,
PrimaSense™ and
PrimaCore™.
PrimaCool is an aerated gel memory foam, designed to blend conforming support with coolness.
PrimaSense is a gel foam and
PrimaCore is comfort foam without gel. These are combined to tailor the kind and leve of support for each model.
The comfort layers also use
Stearns & Foster's
PrimaFlow™
Vent System, which includes solid brass air vents. These promote airflow in and out of the mattress.
SUPPORT - Support for mattresses in this collection relies on the
S&F Signature encased titanium alloy
innerspring. This is composed of 13.75 gauge coils arranged for optimal support.
EDGE SYSTEM - Edge support for
Stearns & Foster Signature Collection mattresses is called
StabiLux™. This includes a perimeter rod.
PrimaVent cools the mattresses by allowing air to flow through brass vents in the border. The solid brass vents keep the vents open and give the mattress a high-class look.
Foundation
Stearns & Foster box springs are available in 9" standard height or 5" low profile.
Signature Collection models are also adjustable compatible, with the
Sealy Reflexion 7 Power base available through
S&F dealers.
Warranty and Availability
Signature Collection models come with a 10-year warranty. They are available through
Sears,
Macy's and a few other retailers. Since this is a new collection, expect more retailers to follow.
