Tempflow Eclipse The Eclipse™ mattress by Tempflow is the firmer of the two entry-level mattresses they produce. The plusher model is the Tempflow Gaia. The Tempflow Eclipse is an affordable high-end solution. It is eight inches thick and composed of two layers.

Eclipse utilizes Tempflow's patented Airflow Transfer System to reduce the build-up of heat and promote freshness. The sleeping surface has very many small holes continuing down to air flow channels in a lower layer. These let air flow through the mattress both directions.

The Eclipse also features 2½ inches of Biogreen™ memory foam, softer SD™ (superior density) ventilated memory foam. This layer is placed on a 5½-inch firm, high density, polyurethane, airflow channel layer.

The mattress cover has breathable Kool-Flow Bamboo stretch knit fabric and an enviro-friendly fire socking produced from sustainable resources.

Tempflow states that GreenGuard's very strict testing procedures of their Biogreen memory foam shows that this material is about 13 times below Oeko-Tex, Certipur-US and GreenGuard's allowable total of volatile organic compounds. This is required to achieve certification. Not only this, they also state that Biogreen foam is free from unhealthful chemical substances, for example TDI, PBDE, Bromine and Boric Acid.

According to the Tempflow mattress recommendation chart, the stiffer/firmer surface of the Eclipse matress will give less pressure point reduction for the joints, but will offer more spinal support for heavier individuals and back pain sufferers.
