Tempflow, a division of Relief-Mart, not only makes memory foam mattresses for home bedrooms, but also makes them for recreational vehicles, semi-truck sleepers, and boats. Like Parklane Mattresses, Tempflow also has a separate website for their RV mattresses (TempflowRV.com).
At this time, there are two Tempflow RV Mattresses models, RV6000 and RV8000. Their construction is similar, each model having three layers. Where they differ is in the thicknesses of the layers and the composition of the middle layer. In either case, the Tempflow RV Mattresses are each billed as The Memory Foam Mattress That Breathes.
The first stage in the breathing of a Tempflow RV Mattress is the cover. This consists of Relief-Mart's Kool-Flow Micro-Vented Knit bamboo fiber fabric (if FTC guidelines are being followed, these are fibers from bamboo and not bamboo rayon). This material is designed to let air flow through freely. It is part of the Relief-Mart/Tempflow AirFlow Transfer System. The purpose of a knit is to stretch in unison with memory foam's conformity, which should mean no uncomfortable bunching.
The foam layers in the Tempflow RV Mattresses use progressive firmness for graduated support. This configuration is specified by Dr. Rick Swartzburg as a key to proper spinal support and pressure relief in a mattress. The overall heights of these models are 6" for the RV6000 and 8" for the RV8000.
The top layer of the RV6000 and the RV8000 is the Tempflow/Relief-Mart memory foam, Biogreen. This is a 5-lb. foam that is ultra pressure sensitve. It has an open-cell structure and is ventilated to let air percolate through. It is 1" thick in the RV6000, and 1½" in the RV8000.
The middle layer in the RV6000 is 2" of PolyFlex, Relief-Mart's version of high-density polyurethane foam. In Tempflow's graduated firmness, this transitions support between the top and bottom layers. PolyFlex polyurethane foam is the signature feature of the Relief-Mart PolyFlex Mattresses.
The same role is played by the 1½" middle layer of Biogreen memory foam in the RV8000. However, it is not as firm as the PolyFlex in the RV6000. This, with the thicker top layer and the equal thicknesses of the two layers, makes the RV8000 a bit less firm overall than the RV6000.
As with the top layers, the middle layers of the Tempflow RV Mattresses are ventilated. This allows the airflow to reach the top surface of the support core. The base of high-density polyurethane foam is 3" high in the RV6000, and 5" high in the RV8000. The top surface of this core is channel-cut for lateral air flow to, from and through the side panels of the cover, completing the AirFlow System.
The channel cuts also give the support a partly individualized response to the weight of the sleeper above. This adds to the top layer's pressure relief and further assures motion isolation for less partner disturbance.
Tempflow states that the foams in its RV Mattresses are certified by several organizations (Oeko-Tex®, Certipur-US® and GreenGuard), with much less VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds), and no boric acid, PBTE, bromine or TDI.
The Tempflow RV Mattresses can be used not only on installed RV beds (with surfaces like platform beds), but can also be used on Tempflow's adjustable bed system (equivalent to Reverie's 5D Deluxe).
The Tempflow RV mattresses come with a 120-day trial period and a 20-year warranty.
