Tempur-Cloud Prima

The name of the Tempur-Cloud Collection is intended to evoke the image of "sleeping on a cloud." This collection of memory foam mattresses has been updated by Tempur-Pedic with two new models added and two others revised. The 10" Tempur-Cloud Prima, one of the additions, is the lowest of these four models. It is also the only one without the removable/washable EasyRefresh™ Top Cover. If you want this feature, look at the 11½" revised Tempur-Cloud Supreme, 12½" new Tempur-Cloud Elite or 13½" revised Tempur-Cloud Luxe.

The Tempur-Cloud Prima is covered with a stretch-knit material with the SmartClimate System described below.

A signature feature of the revised Tempur-Cloud Collection (as well as the revised Tempur-Contour Collection) is the SmartClimate™ System for cooling. The two key components are moisture-wicking fibers in the cover fabric and PCMs in an inner lining. The special fibers wick moisture from the sleeping surface, and the evaporation of the moisture has a cooling effect, keeping the sleeping surface both cool and dry. PCMs (Phase Change Materials) in the lining regulate temperature by changing their physical state, absorbing or releasing heat as needed.

The four layers of the Tempur-Cloud Prima work together to make it a Medium-Plush mattress (5 on a scale of 8) with low conformity (2/8). There are two memory foam layers and two base layers:
* The two memory foam layers are 1.2" comfort layer of TEMPUR-ES® and a 2" support layer of TEMPUR® material. These are pressure-relieving materials. The TEMPUR-ES is extra soft, while the TEMPUR is firmer. The second layer undergirds the first, keeping the softness without "bottoming out."
* The support core has two layers of base foam, 2¾" and 4.1" respectively. This core provides deep support for the whole mattress. Having two layers is to improve pressure relief and dampen motion transfer.

Tempur-Pedic recommends four foundations for the Tempur-Cloud Prima: TEMPUR-Ergo Premier, TEMPUR-Ergo Plus, TEMPUR-Up Foundation and TEMPUR-Flat Foundation.

The Tempur-Cloud Prima has the Tempur-Pedic 10-year non-prorated warranty. It is available through several retailers, both in stores and online.
