TEMPUR-Pedic has replaced the TEMPUR-Contour Rhapsody Breeeze in the TEMPUR-Contour Collection with the TEMPUR-Contour Elite Breeze. Like the former model, the new one has a firm feel. At 12˝" high, the Elite Breeze is ˝" higher than the Rhapsody Breeze. It has different colors, white over gray with a red seam instead of sand and beige.
The key features of the TEMPUR-Contour Elite Breeze are TEMPUR-Breeze® Cooling, PureCool™ Comfort, Cooling Cover, Ultra-Breathable Design, TEMPUR® material (aka memory foam), Premium Fabric Cover, and antimicrobial treatment.
TEMPUR-Breeze® Cooling includes the next three features: PureCool™ Comfort, Cooling Cover, Ultra-Breathable Design.
PureCool™ Comfort is the fusion of PureCool™, a material containing Phase Change Matterials (PCMs) to the top layer of TEMPUR Material. PCMs regulate temperatures by changing their physical state to either absorb or release heat as needed. This keeps temperatures within a designed range, meaning that they not only keep the mattress cool, but can also warm it on a cold day.
The Cooling Cover has moisture-wicking fibers. These draw moisture from the sleeping surface to keep the top dry. More moisture is produced when the sleeper is warm and sweats. The removed moisture evaporates for a cooling effect.
Unlike the cover of the TEMPUR-Contour Rhapsody Breeeze, the TEMPUR-Contour Elite Breeze cover is not removeable and washable. It can be spot cleaned. The reason is that machine laundering can nullify the effectiveness of performance fabrics.
The oldest and most basic method of cooling is airflow. TEMPUR-Pedic has made the upper materials more open to airflow with its Ultra-Breathable Design. This include open-cell structure in the comfort foams, ventilation of the top layers, and breathable fabrics and fire barriers.
Antimicrobial treatment of materials in and on the TEMPUR-Contour Elite Breeze is there to prohibit the growth of bacteria, molds and dust mites.
Four TEMPUR-Pedic foundations are recommended for use with the TEMPUR-Contour Elite Breeze. The first is a platform base, the TEMPUR-Flat™ Foundation, available in three profiles: 2", 5" or 9" high.
The second is the TEMPUR-Up™ Foundation. This is an upgrade of the Flat. The head section can be elevated.
There are two adjustable beds, the TEMPUR-Ergo® Plus Adjustable Base and the TEMPUR-Ergo® Premier Adjustable Base.
TEMPUR-Pedic covers the TEMPUR-Contour Elite Breeze with a 90-Night Tryout and a 10-year limited warranty.
