Tempur-Pedic describes its mattresses as having "soft-where-you-want-it, firm-where-you-need-it comfort and support." With the Contour Supreme this includes its EasyRefresh Top Cover and SmartClimate System. Continuing down, two Tempurmemory foam layers provide comfort and support. Overall support and air cooling come from the base layer of contoured firm foam.
EasyRefresh is a top cover fully zippered so it can be removed, washed, and put back on. No need to lift the mattress. SmartClimate wicks misture away from the sleeping surface to keep it dry. Then as the moisture evaporates, it cools the mattress. The cover fabric is a "premium" high-loft, super-stretch material. It has an anti-microbial treatment to inhibit growth of bacteria, fungi and dust mites.
The comfort layer and support layer of two grades of Tempur material combine to give the Tempur-Contour Supreme a comfort level of Firm with a Medium level of conformity.
The base layer is more than half the 11½" height of the Tempur-Contour Supreme. The very firm high-density base foam is contoured for airflow to freshen and cool the mattress from the inside.
The Tempur-Contour Supreme is the lowest of the new models in the Tempur-Contour Collection. It is widely distributed with retailers in stores and online. Some retailers have not listed it year, since it was released just this year (2014), but by the end of the year it should appear wherever the Tempur-Contour Collection is carried. This model comes with a 10-year non-prorated warranty, which is now the standard for new mattresses from Tempur-Sealy brands (Tempur-Pedic, Sealy and Stearns & Foster).
We loved the Classic till it started getting dips in it and our backs and hips started hurting. I kept the Receipts and warranty from when we bought it. I took pics and sent in all the info. they ask for and received our Contour Supreme within two weeks after the claim. We really like this bed it is higher than the Classic but great to sleep on.
Mattress Rating: Mattress Comfort:
Contour Supreme very comfortable. We had the Classic before this one. The Contour Supreme was a Replacement for the warranty of the Classic that they honored within 2 weeks.
Mattress Durability:
We don't know about the durability because we just got this mattress but it has to be as good as the Classic because to me they upgraded.
Mattress Support:
Super Firm for us.
Mattress Features and Benefits as Advertised:
This Firm mattress helps our backs. Both my husband and I have had bad backs, surgery for me and just a bad back for my husband. No more pain for us again.
