The Tempurpedic Rhapsody memory foam mattress is a medium-firm mattress that combines comfort and support. It features the Tempur-Pedic Dual AirFlow System as one of its four layers. The other layers of the Rhapsody mattress are a Tempur-Tex cover, 1.2 inches of Tempur-HD comfort layer, and 2.8 inches of Tempur material for a support layer. The total height of the Tempurpedic Rhapsody is 12 inches. The dual support system and Tempur-HD material work together to provide adaptive support. If you are looking for a mattress with a similar feel that is less firm I recommend the Tempurpedic Allura.
The Tempurpedic Rhapsody mattress features a removable Tempur-Tex cover with contrasting microsuede sides. It combines a conforming layer with spinal support to provide medium-firm comfort. The Tempur-Pedic Rhapsody has a Tempur-HD comfort layer. The mattress has firm support, but is not rigidly hard. When I tested the Tempur-Pedic Rhapsody bed, I noticed it was one of the firmer beds in the Contour series. Although it is firm, the Tempur HD material makes the bed soft and plush on the surface. However, it does take a bit longer to adapt to your body then the overall softer and more supple Tempurpedic Cloud.

Purchased our Rhapsody Tempurpedic 7-2011 and have had to have replacements twice due to "sinking troughs" created on each side of the bed within a few months of using the replaced mattresses. To get some temporary firm support, we inch our way up to the center of mattress which is still firm due to no use. We are in our 70's and wake up every AM with back aches & hip aches which go away after we are up for 20 min. or so. Tried to use the 20 yr. warranty again and they denied a return as they say the measurements didn't comply with their requirements. Received a "do not reply email". The reason it didn't measure correctly is because we had literally had our mattress turned over to the side that is not to be used to get "more than wanted" firmness - therefore, the other side eventually corrected itself. The man that had come out said he definitely could see where it was much softer and took longer to come back to shape than the portions that are not used. - but, was denied anyway.

When the first mattress developed big gullies, I asked for a refund, but was only able to get a replacement. And this one seems worse than the first.

feels like getting into wet sand. I get a wicked back ache from sleeping on this mattress.

this is the second one we've had. we had the first one for seven years and then exercised the warranty and got this one, which is the same model but seems worse than the first one.

Temper pedic is a great company. You have to carefully read the instructions for your warranty claim, but they stand behind their warranty
