The second mattress model listed by Keetsa Eco-Friendly Mattresses is The Keetsa Pillow Plus. The construction of this innerspring mattress is about the same as The Keetsa Plus, except it has an additional layer of Super Soft foam, which makes this model plusher.
Like the Plus, the Pillow Plus has a support core of 768-count 7" high iCoil wrapped pocket coils. Being pocket coils, this innerspring unit can conform to the sleeper's body contours for pressure relief and proper spinal posture. It also minimizes motion transfer, which means less sleep disturbance from a moving partner.
The top of this mattress is a pillow top with memory foam and super soft foam. The memory foam is BioFoam, a partly plant-oil based product. Keetsa calls this "a blend of natural and synthetic materials." While this foam is based mostly on petroleum-derived oils, 12% is caster bean oil. As to off-gassing, Keetsa claims to air out their BioFoam memory foam before putting it into mattresses and pillows.
The cover of The Keetsa Pillowtop Plus is 100% made of unbleached organic cotton. This cotton is quilted to a Fire Safe flame resistant layer and padding of wool and polyester fibers.
Foam encasement along with a foam bottom rail protects the coils and serves as edge support for the sleeping surface.
Keetsa recommends firm support for The Keetsa Pillowtop Plus. They provide three foundations: the Keetsa Steel Bed Frame, the Vivon Bi-Fold Steel Box Spring, and The Freeport. While the first two are constructed of steel, The Freeport from The BedWorks of Maine is a wooden bed made of solid North American ash. Keetsa does not recommend adjustable beds for any of their mattresses.
