The Original Mattress Factory
The Original Mattress Factory is based in Cleveland, Ohio. It does not distribute through general retailers, but sells its mattresses directly to consumers. The Original Mattress Factory has 91
locations, 11 of which are also factories, in 9 states: Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, south Carolina, and Virginia.
Six series of mattress and box spring sets are produced by The Original Mattress Factory: Classic,
Regency, Orthopedic, Serenity Memory Foam, Latex Foam, and Custom. Each mattress comes with its
own box spring.
Classic
The Classic mattress by The Original Mattress Factory is an innerspring mattress topped with foam padding which comes in 4 choices: Classic, Classic Luxury Firm, Classic Plush, and Classic EuroTop. The first 3 are padded equally on both sides and are flippable. The Classic EuroTop is padded on only one side and cannot be flipped. The Original Mattress Factory claims the Classic mattresses provide "good support and durability at an affordable price."
The Classic series is constructed of the "Classic" Innerspring (13-Gauge knotted bonnell coil with 5 turns and a 6 gauge border rod), convoluted polyurethane foam topper, supersoft polyurethane foam topper, blended cotton felt insulator pads and synthetic fiber pads, FR Innerliner or FR Fiber, and quilted panel featuring a Damask fabric. Mattress thickness is from 8 to 10.5 inches. The price range is "$", and the waranty is 10 years prorated.
Regency
The Original Mattress Factory Regency series has two models, the Regency Sapphire and the Regency Sapphire EuroTop. Mattress Thickness is 10 for the Regency Sapphire and 11 inches for the Regency
Sapphire EuroTop. Both models are padded on only one side and can't be flipped. They carry a 10-year,
non-prorated warranty. The EuroTop has twice as much foam and cotton batting in the padding as other
model. The price range for the mattress only is "$".
Orthopedic
According to The Original Mattress Factory, the "Orthopedic mattresses and box springs offer superior comfort, support and durability. There are eight models available, ranging from the firmest tight top to the thickest and softest Euro top. Each Orthopedic mattress features our best offset innerspring system, which is made exclusively for The Original Mattress Factory. Our Orthopedic mattresses also have a two-sided design, stitched cotton padding and handles for ease of turning. Our top of the line Orthopedic box springs feature four-fold torsion modules with additional wire, an additional wood slat and offer superior support and
shock absorption."
The 8 models of the Orthopedic by The Original Mattress Factory are Orthopedic Ultra Firm, Orthopedic Extra Firm, Orthopedic Adjustable, Orthopedic Luxury Firm, Orthopedic Pillow Top, Orthopedic Ultra Plush, Orthopedic Premier Super Pillow Top, and Orthopedic EuroTop. The Orthopedic mattresses feature 12 ¾ Gauge Knotted Offset Coils with 6 Turns and a 6 Gauge Border Rod. The cotton batting may be quilted or stitched, and the handles designed to not pull out when the mattress is being turned.
Mattress thicknesses vary from 10.5 to 16 inches, pricing runs from "$$" to "$$$", and the non-prorated warranty is 12 years.
Serenity Memory Foam
The Serenity Memory Foam mattress by The Original Mattress Factory features a high density foam core,
two high density memory foam toppers and an AirFlow layer. Both the sock and the cover are knit for
comfort. It is 10.5 inches thick and carries a 12-year non-prorated warranty. They are one-sided and
cannot be flipped.
Latex Foam
The two models of the Latex Foam series of mattresses by The Original Mattress Factory are the Latex
Foam and the Latex Supreme. The Latex Foam is 9 inches thick, and the Latex Supreme 12.5 inches, made
with high quality Talalay latex foam. They are two-sided and can be flipped. The proportion of natural to synthetic latex is about 40% to 60%.
The Latex Foam series has a non-prorated warranty of 12 years. The price range is "$$$".
Custom
The Original Mattress Factory also custom manufactures mattresses for customers' special needs and applications, such as for uniquely sized beds, campers, boats, etc.
Each box spring sold by the Original Mattress Factory features an Amish built wood frame and a hand-tailored box spring cover.

It was an easy purchase, I just wish we would have purchased a softer mattress.
