The Overton
The Overton is one of several Talalay latex mattresses by Parklane Mattresses in Oregon. This medium firmness model is suitable for a combination of sleep positions and is, according to Parklane, one of their best sellers.

The user of 10" The Overton is supported by a 6" core of all natural Talalay latex with a 28 ILD. This latex is made from the sap of the rubber tree, a sustainable resource. Latex is very resilient, and high density latex is very supportive. It is also durable as well as flexible.

Talalay latex, as used in The Overton, is hypoallergenic. It is also resistant to bacteria, mold and mildew, and allergens such as dust mites.

Above the support core of The Overton are three comfort layers of 19 ILD Talatech Latex, a softer Talalay latex foam. Talatech is a blend of plant-based rubber sap and styrene butadine. This latex conforms to the contours of the sleeper's body. Unlike memory foam, Talatech Latex recovers almost instantly when weight is lifted. These layers are also cooler than ordinary memory foam, because latex foam is more breathable.

The Overton is covered in pure silk. It is quilted with a rayon fiber fire barrier and quilting foam. The cover is not removeable, and spot cleaning without soaking is recommended.

Solid platforms and wood slat foundations are recommended by Parklane Mattresses for The Overton. This model is also compatible with adjustable bases.
