The Prescott is one of six Marshall coil mattress models currently made and sold by
Parklane Mattresses. Unlike in
The Hoyt, coils provide primary support for
The Prescott.
Marshall coils, more commonly known as pocket coils, are separately wrapped
coils which respond independently to the weight and shape of the sleeper. Contouring to the user, pocket coils provide pressure relief by supporting the entire body. They also keep the spine in line for side sleepers and minimize motion transfer. The coil count

The coils in
The Prescott are protected at the bottom by a 2" base layer of high density foam. This foam is soy-based. Around the coil unit is foam encasement, which also serves as edge support.
Between the Marshall coils and the sleeper is a comfort layer of 4-lb. gel
foam. This has the supportive features of gel. This foam also has an open-cell structure, allowing air flow to make it cooler. Combined with the coil height and the 2" foam base, this makes
The Prescott 13" high.
Parklane Mattresses lists
The Prescott as requiring a fixed base. The recommended base is their fabric-covered wood slat foundation, available in two heights: 9" Standard or 4" Low Profile.
The Prescott carries
Parklane's 25-year Gold Warranty. The first 15 years are full coverage, and the last 10 prorated.
