The Traveler is one of two innerspring mattresses made by Parklane RV Mattresses, a division of Oregon-based Parklane Mattresses. These mattresses are designed for vehicular settings, such as motor homes, boats, trailers, and truck cab sleepers, with standard vehicle-bed specific lengths and/or widths and low profiles. They are also available in three standard bedroom sizes.
The support for The Traveler RV Mattress is a 390-count Bonnell coil innerspring. Bonnell coils, which are also common in several brands of fold-out sofa mattresses, form an innerspring which is flexible enough to fold or roll up. In The Traveler, which is a 7" high, two-sided, medium-firm mattress with a foam topper on each side, the coils would be about 5" to 6" tall.
The firmness of the Bonnell coils is tempered by the "pillowtop" on each side. Each pillowtop is filled with SuperSoft foam.
The cover of The Traveler is a quilted damask polyester fabric. Quilted into the cover is a fire resistant layer of flame-retardant rayon.
The Traveler RV Mattress is made in Tualitan, Oregon by Parklane RV Mattresses. Using their patented process, the mattress is rolled up and packaged for shipping without damaging the coils. Once unrolled, the mattress cannot be re-rolled and re-inserted into the box.
