PressureGuard Turn Select

Transfer Master Products, Inc. lists four PresureGuard air mattresses among its Specialty Mattresses. These are not specifically Transfer Master designs, but are produced by Span America Medical Systems, Inc. and listed as PressureGuard Powered Treatment Surfaces. This category lists twice as many models as TM, including Easy Air, Easy Air LR, Easy Air XL, Protocol, APM² Safety Supreme, APM², APM Bariatric and APM. The ones listed by Transfer Master are Turn Select, CFT, APM² and Easy Air.

The PressureGuard Turn Select mattress is designed to move the patient around while sleeping to prevent bed sores and manage pain. Turn Select has "Select Roll Angles of 5°, 15°, or up to 30°" to one side or the other. The time can be set for each position, ranging from 1 minute to 120 minutes (2 hours), according to the needs of the patient.

The PressureGuard Turn Select's pump is controlled by a microprocessor. The company says it is quiet. There are no air lines to leak. Inflation is maintained, even if the power is out.

If CPR is needed, the Turn Select has a CPR mode to firm up the surface for treatment, which locks out the programming until reactivated. This feature also includes a CPR alarm.

The PressureGuard Turn Select has a weight limit of 350 lbs. for each user. It is available in four sizes: Twin Long (which can be doubled for a Dual King), Full, Full Long, and Queen. The Turn Select has a 2-year non-prorated warranty from Span America.
