One the two mattress choices for buyers of a Supernal Recliner or Supernal Hi-Low adjustable bed system made by Transfer Master Products, Inc., the Soft Touch is a memory foam mattress with border edge protection. The other Transfer Master mattress for these beds is the Ascent I.
No other foam is named as the support core, leading to the implication that the content of the mattress is a solid block of memory foam. It would have to be high density and quite firm to adequately support a person, and that's not unreasonable. But it does make the mattress flippable. And the memory foam conformity would run deep, an important consideration in preventing pressure sores for people who have to spend a lot of time in bed.
Like the Ascent I, the user has a choice of quilted bamboo fiber or waterproof stretch fabric for the cover.
Stretch fabric works with the memory foam's conformity. The fiber in it is not named, but one candidate is nylon, which can be woven to be essentially waterproof, which may be combined with Spandex for increased stretchability. This is not to rule out other materials.
Bamboo has its own advantages, including being anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, dust mite resistant, and hypoallergenic. It is also breathable and wicks away moisture to keep the surface dry.
Since the Soft Touch Mattress is sold with the Supernal adjustable beds, it is covered by the same 1-year limited warranty.
