Trevi is a mid-range model in the
Trump Home iSeries by
Serta.
Trump Home is one of
Serta's
iSeries collections. The mattresses in these collections feature the
Serta iSeries Technology, which employs
Serta's
Cool Action™ gel memory foam and
Duet™ Coil innerspring.
According to
Serta, their
Cool Action™ is the first memory foam to be infused with gel beads (which the company calls
MicroSupport™ Gel). The designed role of the gel is (1) to enhance memory foam's relief of pressure points, and (2) reverse memory foam's tendency to build up heat until it becomes uncomfortable. Besides adding gel,
Serta employs an open-cell structure in their memory foam and ventilates it with "micro-pores" to let air circulate through it. All three of these are to work together to cool the sleeping surface.
Serta's
Duet™ Coil innerspring system consists of individually wrapped dual coils. This is a coil-in-coil feature. A shorter, narrower wrapped coil is inside a taller, wider one. The taller coil has fewer turns, so it is more responsive to body weight. Since these coils are not tied together (at least not at the top), they respond independently. The coils conform to the shape of the sleeper to provide even support for the whole body. Since every part of the body is equally supported, certain parts do not bear most of the load. This reduces pressure points. It also helps sleeping posture.
The smaller coils in the
Duet™ Coil system in
iSeries mattresses have more turns, so are more resistant. When the weight on the dual coil reaches this point, the smaller coil increases the support, This guards against the coils compressing too far. It also make the dual coils more supportive of heavier bodies, while the more responsive taller coils are suitable for lighter weight. Thus a dual-coil mattress can be used by both light and heavy people.
Foam encasement called
BestEdge provides perimeter support for the innerspring and edge support for the sleeping surface of
Serta Trump Home iSeries Trevi mattresses.
The
Trevi has two layers of the
Serta Cool Action™ gel memory foam. It also has a layer of
Serta memory foam (not gel), called
KoolComfort™. The
Cool Action™ layers are just under the cover, an arrangement
Serta calls
Continuous Comfort. This is to keep the sleeper as close as possible to the gel memory foam. Under the
Cool Action™ layers is a layer of the
KoolComfort™ memory foam to further contour support to the users. Under this is the
Duet™ Coil innerspring system for the primary support.
The cover of the
Trevi contains a blend of natrual and synthetic fibers which act as a fire blocker.
Serta recomends its
Motion Perfect Adjustable Foundation for use with its
Trevi model in the
Trump Home iSeries collection. This mattress has a 120-day sleep trial period and a 25-year warranty. It is available at several retailers nationwide in the USA and Canada.
