The introduction of the Ten followed the initial success of the T&N 5-Inch Mattress, taking into consideration the desire of many Tuft & Needle customers for a thicker mattress.
Like the Five, the Ten has a Medium to Medium Firm comfort level, the overall firmness preferred by most consumers. This balances the properties of the two layers of proprietary high-density polyurethane foam.
The top comfort layer is formulated for pressure relief without a sinking feeling. This keeps the sleeper on top of the mattress with enough indentation to ease pressure on the joints, high enough for cooling airflow. The comfort layer also minimizes motion transfer to eliminate partner disturbance. According to Tuft & Needle, it has the benefits of memory foam and latex without excessive heat.
The support core is denser, firmer for underlying support with enough bounce to make it easy to enter and exit the bed.
The knit cover fabric is made of rayon, a finer made of cellulose derived from natural sources. This is paired with a fire barrier of silicon-infused rayon with polyester. The knit material conforms with the comfort foam to body contours. The siliconized rayon is naturally flame resistant, negating the use of chemicals.
