As a second installment of the union between fashion and sleep, the Vera Wang Sequin Bed by Serta brings some unique features to the bedroom. The Sequin series of mattresses, available in firm, plush, and ultra plush levels, uses latex foam and the Sensura quilted fabric cover to produce a mattress which seems to be firm overall, but should have some surface give and comfort.
The Sequin Bed from the Serta Vera Wang collection is a premium designer mattress and all of the features you would expect to find are there. You have support, comfort, and lets not forget looks. Since the bed was partially designed by one of the most famous fashion designers in the world, you can expect the appearance of the bed to be second to none. All of the Vera Wang collections will visually give you the impression that a finer bed could not be found anywhere. When you consider the internal components, such as the zoned spring-inside-a-spring support base, zoned comfort foam (both providing more support under the hip area), the luxurious quilted cover, and the foam encased perimeter for stability, you have what many would call one of the best innerspring designs currently available.
The Vera Wang Sequin Bed for Serta is certainly a feature-rich model, and you would not expect to find this mattress at a discount store any more than you might expect to find a Rolex watch in a bubble gum machine. A good average starting price for the queen Sequin bed would be around $1500, foundation included. The foundation recommended by Serta to get the best performance for the duration of the 20 year warranty is the StabL base foundation. You can usually get this foundation in standard or low-profile versions.
