Zedbed Latex Series
The Latex Series matresses by Zedbed feature a top layer of latex. Latex is well known for its resiliency. When pressure of weight is removed, Latex responds instantly, returning to its original shape. As such, latex is often used for firm and medium-firm mattresses. Zedbed says, "We designed the Latex Series for the consumer who prefers semi-firm to firm comfort and is ready to move from an innerspring mattress to a memory foam model."

While all other components of the Latex Series matresses are made in Quebec, Canada, the Talalay latex is made in the United States. It is made from the sap of the Brazilian rubber tree (Hevea brasilinesis), a sustainable resource. Latex has several advantages. Among these are high resiliency and resistance to dust mites, mold, mildew. Latex conforms to the body of the sleeper, relieving pressure point pain. Its instant response means that if a sleeper changes position while asleep, latex can adjust itself to the new configuration fairly quickly.

The support core of mattresses in the Latex Series is a very firm soy-based foam. It is channeled to promote air circulation. The channeling itself is positioned so that it creates support zones corresponding to areas of the users' bodies, provided more support where needed and less elsewhere.

Underlying the support core is the base layer. This foam is a "soy-based" polyurethane called Celcar. This is to support and protect the support layer.

There are two types of Zedbed foundations for the Latex Series: high profile and low profile box springs. Latex Series matresses carry the Zedbed 25-year limited warranty
