Slumber 1 8-Inch Mattress

The Slumber 1 8" Mattress is made by Zinus and sold through Walmart and Amazon. It is the same as the Night Therapy Spring 8 Inch Premium Mattress sold through Sam's Club and Amazon, and the Sleep Master Ultima® Comfort 8 Inch Spring Mattress sold on Amazon.

The Slumber 1 8" is an innerspring mattrerss with a support core of 7½" high Zinus iCoils. The coil count is only described as "hundreds." The iCoils are individually wrapped pocket coils, simply called "independent coils" in one of the descriptions. Zinus says they are "heavy" but the gauge is not disclosed. The coils rest on a firm foam pad and are topped by an insulator sheet.

Above the insulator is a 1" layer of polyurethane comfort foam. This cushions the sleeper and masks the feel of separate coils.

The top of the mattress is completed with quilted micro-fiber fabric and a knitted jacquard top cover. The top cover fabric is not named unless it is the same as the quilted microfiber, in which case it would be polyester.

The 7½" and the 1" foam plus the quilting add up to 8½" or more. The 8" in the model name could be taken as a generalization, or it may take into consideration compression of the foam and/or coils.

The Slumber 1 8"/Night Therapy Spring 8 Inch Premium Mattress/Sleep Master Ultima® Comfort 8 Inch Spring Mattress is made in Zinus's plant in Xiamen, China. It is covered by a 10-year warranty.
