Hypnos Beds USA

Paramount Sleep has partnered with Hypnos, a bedding manufacturer in the United Kingdom, in a joint venture to make and sell Hypnos Beds in the United States. Hypnos Beds has a Royal Warrant from Queen Elizabeth II to make luxury mattresses for the royal family. Paramount Sleep has been in business for 82 years, but Hypnos has over 100 years experience.

In a private showing for retailers' input at the 2015 Las Vegas Winter Market, ten models of Hypnos Beds were shown. Eight models were exhibited at the High Point Spring Market in 2015: Coral Extra Firm and Coral Plush, Joliet Luxury Firm, Alexandra Firm and Alexandra Plush, Sapphire Euro Top Plush and Sapphire Euro Top Firm, and Crystal Pillow Top.

Among the highlighted features of these Hypnos Beds are Zip and Link Service, Headboard Covering Option, 100% Sustainability, Advanced Spring System, and Adjustable Motion Base.

Zip and Link - Two mattress sections can be zipped together into one mattress. One advantage is dual comfort: a different comfort level for each side. Another advantage is ease of bringing a large-sized mattress (such as King or Queen) into more confined spaces.

Headboard Covering Option - The purchaser of the bed can select the fabric for covering the headboard.

Advanced Spring System - Hypnos's pocket coil system, called Q Spring, features nested coils in the center portion of the innerspring. This increases the already high coil density. The smallest Hypnos mattress model has a coil count over 1,000, while the high-end models have up to 5,000. Some models have what Hypnos calls nano coils, apparently smaller coils the same as or similar to micro-coils.

100% Sustainability - Here the emphasis is on natural materials. Hypnos Beds do not include polyurethane foam or memory foam. The coils are fashioned from recycled steel. Other natural materials include camel hair, horsehair, wool  (Joma and Alpaca), and natural latex.

Adjustable Motion Base - Emphasizing the luxury nature of the brand, the standard foundation for Hypnos Beds is an adjustable base from Leggett & Platt quiet yet powerful motors, 3-speed dual massage, backlit wireless remote, progammable positions, under-bed LED light, USB ports, and fashion designer legs and upholstery. No specific L&P models were identified.

More details of individual models will become available as Hypnos Beds are listed by retailers. The warranty is not yet specified, but is probably for 10 or 20 years.
