Air-Pedic 900 Memory Foam Series
The
Air-Pedic 900 Memory Foam Series is the third memory foam series of
Air-Pedic airbeds made and sold by
Relief Mart through its mattress subsidiary
Selectabed. The other memory foam series are
Air-Pedic Memory Foam 500 Series,
Air-Pedic Memory Foam 700 Series, and
Air-Pedic 1200 Ultra-Plush Memory Foam Series. According to
Selectabed, the
900 is comparable to the
Sleep Number®
Sleep Number M7.
All
Air-Pedic airbed
mattresses use a 6-zone, 6-chamber air support system with three zones/air chambers on each side of the bed. These air chambers are made of 100% medical grade urethane, which
Selectabed compares with rubber bladders used by
Select Comfort/
Sleep Number. The claim is that urethane is less likely to crack than rubber. The three zones on each side of the bed are for the upper, middle and lower areas of the body. Besides overall air pressure, the middle section is fully adjustable for optimum lumbar support and proper spinal posture. Each side of the airbed is controlled with its own digital remote.
The
Euro-Top Kool-Flow™
Micro-vented stretch-knit
cover in the
Air-Pedic 900 Memory Foam Series is the same as in the other memory foam airbed series. Also shared is the 2" transitional support layer of
Flex-Support foam.
Where the
900 differs is the comfort layer. Here it is 3" of 4-lb.
Advanced Memory Foam. The
500 has 1", the
700 has 2", and the
1200 has 4" of
memory foam for conforming, contouring support and pressure relief.
The
Airflow Transfer System developed for
Tempflow memory foam mattresses is available as an option with the
Air-Pedic 900 Memory Foam Series. In this configuration, the memory foam has vertical pores for airflow through the foam. The upper surface of the
Flex-Support layer is corrugated to allow the air to flow to the edge of the mattress. This is to cool and freshen the top of the airbed.
The
Air-Pedic 900 Memory Foam Series is compatible with
platform beds and
foundations as well as with
adjustable beds.
Selectabed (a subsidiary of
Relief Mart) sells wood-frames beds. They also sell
Ergomotion,
Leggett & Platt, and
Reverie adjustable beds.
The
Air-Pedic is covered by the
Relief-Mart 30-year limited warranty, with the first three years non-prorated.
Selectabed has a 120-night sleep trial period.
