The middle model in the Luxury Collection of memory foam mattresses by South Carolina based Christeli is Briella, one of two 13½" mattresses in this series. The other models in this collection are the 12½" Madeline and the 13½" Danieli.
Key ingredients in the cover of Briella are silk and aloe vera, both natural products. Silk is a smooth, strong fiber long associated with luxury. It also wicks moisture away to keep the surface dry.
Aloe vera is known for its soothing and healing. The cover is infused with micro-encapsulated aloe vera, so minute amounts are released when someone sleeps on the mattress. Coming to the surface and through the bedding and nightclothes, it soothes the sleeper's skin.
Briella is a boxtop mattress. The 5" comfort layer of Super Cool Memory Foam is in the European box top. This 5.3-lb. memory foam is ventilated for airflow. The box top is attached to the support core below by the side handles. The user can change the firmness of the mattress by detaching the handles and rotating the base in relation to the top.
The support base of the Briella memory foam mattress is a block of Christeli's Ortho-Core Support, a 2-lb. soy-based polyurethane foam. This foam supplies deep down support for the sleepers. Christeli says it is orthopedically approved for spinal support.
The Briella features Christeli's Body5 Zoned Spinal Support. Five zones are created to shape support for the head, upper body, middle body, lower body and feet.
Briella also features Best Edge foam encasement. This bolsters and protects the support foam from the side. It is also edge support for the surface. Christeli claims it adds 25% to the usable sleeping surface.
The foundations provided by Christeli for Briella, as well as their other mattressses are a steel frame, the Christeli Foundation, and three adjustable beds: Ergomatic 5000, Ergomatic 4000 and Ergomatic 1000.
