Danieli is the top model of the Luxury Collection of memory foam mattresses by Christeli. This 13˝" mattress has two memory foam layers in the comfort zone European box top, an aloe vera infused cover, an adjustable firmness support core, and edge-supporting foam encasement. About these features, Christli says, "Together they cradle your body, ensuring a quiet night of "sleep-like-a-baby" rest."
The cover of Danieli is quilted with quilting materials infused with microcapsules of aloe vera gel. The body heat of a sleeper releases some of the aloe vera which reaches the skin of the sleeper to soothe and heal. Aloe vera is widely used in skin care products.
The two comfort layers of Danieli are 4" of Super Cool™ Memory Foam and 1" of Super Cool™ Firm Memory Foam. The upper layer is the same 5.3-lb. material found in all current Christeli memory foam mattresses. Four inches is the same thickness as the Super Cool in Madeline. Memory foam was developed by NASA to cushion astronauts at launch. Its conformity to body contours is designed to relieve pressure by providing even support. Original memory foam accumulated heat, becoming too warm, so this memory foam is ventilated to allow air to flow through for cooling.
The second layer of Super Cool is firm to provide more support. This is not supposed to compromise surface softness, but to prevent the "falling through" sensation. Underlying firmness may prolong the life of the softer foam.
The support base is Christeli's Ortho-Core™ Support. This is 2-lb density soy-based polyurethane foam. In most Christeli mattresses, such as Danieli, its support is tailored by the Body5™ Zoned Spinal Support for five body areas: head, upper body, middle body, lower body, and feet. However, the base can be turned around, changing the configuration of the support to make the mattress fimer or less firm. This is done by detaching the side handles which attach the base to the box top and turning the top or the base, then reattaching the handles.
Best Edge foam encasement supports the sleeping surface, increasing the usable area by 25%. This keeps the sleepers from rolling off because of edge collapse. It also enables sitting on the edge. The foam encasement also contains the support core, prolonging its usable life.
The principle requirement for a foundation for the Christeli Danieli memory foam mattress is that it be flat and firm. Platform beds meet this requirement, as do wood-slatted frames with less than 4" between slats. Also qualifying are metal bed foundations with closely-spaced bars, such as the Christeli Foundation. Christeli also sells three models of adjustable beds: Ergomatic 1000, Ergomatic 4000, Ergomatic 5000.
