Madeline, the lowest model in the Luxury Collection of memory foam mattresses by Christeli, is far from being Christeli's entry-level mattress. It is the same 12½" height as the TEMPUR-Cloud Elite and TEMPUR-Contour Elite, and has a similar two-layer construction, a support foam core and one memory foam comfort layer, but at a much lower price. However, it has some distinct features.
Beginning at the top, Madeline has a quilted cover of natural silk. This tack & jump quilted fabric is infused with aloe vera. Silk is smooth and breathable. Aloe vera gel is soothing, used in many skin care products. The tack-and-jump quilting is to give this mattress a feeling of luxury.
Under the quilted cover is the 4" layer of Super Cool™ Memory Foam. This ventilated 5.3-pound density memory foam responds to the sleeper's weight and shape by conforming to body contours to provide even support long the entire length of the body. The ventilation lets air flow through for cooling.
The support core of the Madeline is Christeli's 2-lb. Ortho-Core™ Support, The role of the soy-based Ortho polyurethane foam is deep down support for the sleeper. It is zoned to tailor support for five areas of the body. Body5™ Zoned Spinal Support has differing levels of firmness for the head, upper body, middle body, lower body and feet.
Like the other Luxury Collection mattresses, Madeline has Better Edge™ foam encasement for edge support and matttress core protection. Better Edge increases usable sleeping surface by 25%.
The comfort section of the Christeli Madeline is in a European box top fastened by straps to handles on the support core. This can be loosed and the top and base rotated to the opposite orientation to change the firmness level.
Christeli lists several health benefits for Madeline, as they do for their other memory foam mattresses, such as reduced tossing and turning, and proper spinal alignment. It is also cited as being temperature neutral, mite resistant, and hypoallergenic.
Cristeli sells four foundations for their memory foam mattresses. They are a steel bed frame and three adjustable beds. The adjustable beds are the Ergomatic 4000, the Ergomatic 1000, and the Ergomatic 5000.
