The highest and plushest model in the Memory Foam Mattresses collection by DreamFoam Bedding (a brand of Brooklyn Bedding) is the Ultimate Dreams 13" Gel Memory Foam Mattress. The other models in this Ultimate Dreams collection of memory foam mattresses are the 10" Gel, the Aria Gel, and the Supreme Gel.
The 13" Gel Memory Foam Mattress has three layers: gel-infused memory foam, memory foam, and polyfoam base foam. DreamFoam calls these the comfort layer, the memory foam support layer, and the base foam support core.
The comfort layer is 3" of 4-lb. memory foam infused with gel. The memory foam conforms to curves of the body for even distribution of support for the body. This relieves pressure on larger joins, such as shoulders and hips. And it supports more recessed parts such as the lumbar. It also isolates motion to reduce partner disturbance. Beads of gel are infused into the foam to enhance its support and to cool the mattress.
The second layer down is 2" of heavier 5-lb. memory foam. This is less conforming and more supportive.
Basic support for the entire mattress is provided by the 8" high polyurethane foam Polyfoam support core.
The cover of the Ultimate Dreams 13" Gel Memory Foam Mattress is a four-way stretch knit made of cotton.
Since this is a memory foam mattress, it requires firm support. Foundations providing this kind of support are box bases with solid tops (such as the Simple Life Foundation made for DreamFoam Bedding), platform beds, and adjustable beds (such as the S-Cape made by Leggett & Platt and sold by DreamFoam).
