King Koil Brand Mattresses
King Koil mattresses are the flagship brand of
King Koil. According to
King Koil, they are "engineered in cooperation with, and endorsed by, the International Chiropractors Association." The
King Koil brand has three series:
Posture Sense,
Posture Sense Response, and
eXtended Life (XL). The other brands are
iMattress,
Dr. Breus Beds,
Laura Ashley, and
Natural Response, in addition to
Sleep iD, a bed-matching system.
The
King Koil models are
innerspring mattresses, featuring the
Balanced Support Coil System™, which has "rows of alternating coils" that "react to your body contours, maintaining coil stability and increased support when compressed, for an undisturbed night’s sleep." These pocketed coils are arranged in zones for sections of the body to relieve pressure points and maintain proper alignment of the spine.
The comfort padding of the sleeping surface utilizes
King Koil's
Cool Cell™
Technology, which combines
gel and ventilated
memory foam for engineered cushioning (more pressure relief) and cooling. This - and other
foams used in individual models - are zoned for sections of the sleeper's body.
Edge support is provided by
King Koil's
Excellent Edge™ foam encasement, which makes the entire sleeping surface suitable for weight bearing. Besides an expanded sleeping area, this makes the mattresses usable for sitting.
The
Posture Sense Response series are hybrid
mattresses. Besides the comfort padding, they also have layers of foam above the innerspring units. In addition, the
coils are independently foam encased to minimize motion transfer so that one sleeper's movements will not disturb the other.
The
eXtended Life mattresses by
King Koil are designed for durability, to provide support for anyone, whatever size, for a longer time than other mattresses. According to
King Koil, "These heavy-duty-plus mattresses are built to last - with a warranty against sagging or body impressions for 25 years!" This also includes the foundation, both are XL. Among the features of heavy-duty support are higher density foams.
