PolyFlex Mattresses

According to Relief-Mart, their PolyFlex mattresses are a more affordable alternative to the more expensive memory foam mattresses. PolyFlex foam is Relief-Mart's formulation of polyurethane foam, used not only in its namesake models, but also in support cores and intermediate support layers in some Relief-Mart and Tempflow mattresses (such as the Tempflow RV6000. In this series, it takes the place of memory foam. It is high-density, and is conformable without building up heat.

Relief-Mart has three models of PolyFlex mattresses: PolyFlex 1, PolyFlex 2 and PolyFlex 3. Each model has the number of layers in its name. This indicates the degree of progression in the firmness of the mattress. They all have the same 8" overall height and the same cover.

All three PolyFlex polyurethane foam mattresses have a cover of circular knit cotton. The knit makes it conformable and breathable. Cotton is hypo-allergenic. It is also washable, and the cover has a zipper for removing and cleaning.

The top layer in PolyFlex 2 and PolyFlex 3, and the only layer in PolyFlex 1, consists of high-density PolyFlex comfort foam. This is 8" high in PolyFlex 1 and 2" in the other two mattresses.

The middle layer in PolyFlex 3 is 2" of support-level PolyFlex, firmer than the comfort foam. This gives PolyFlex 3 the most finely graded support of this collection.

The bottom layer in PolyFlex 1 and PolyFlex 2 is made of base support polyurethane foam. This makes these two models firmer than the PolyFlex 1. This base is 6" high in the PolyFlex 2, and 4" in the PolyFlex 3.

Relief-Mart makes a solid top box foundation for the PolyFlex mattresses, the Optional True Platform Foundation, to provide the same support for these mattresses as with a platform bed. The PolyFlex models are also compatible with adjustable beds. Relief-Mart sells nine models: ShipShape, Prodigy, Elite and S-Cape by Leggett & Platt; 5D Deluxe by Reverie; Series 100 and Series 400 by Ergomotion; and WH1 and WH2 by Electropedic.

All three models of PolyFlex mattresses are available through Selectabed, the mattress division of Relief-Mart, online or by phone. They are made in the USA and have a 20-year warranty.
