The three Reedsworth models are the high-end innerspring mattresses in the 2015 Perfect Sleeper Collection by Serta. At 14½" high, the Reedsworth Super Pillow Top Elite is the highest model, with the pillow top adding an extra cushioning layer.
As with all Perfect Sleeper mattresses, Serta claims that this model addresses the five most common sleep problems: tossing and turning, poor back support, balancing sleep temperature, partner disturbance, sagging and edge roll-off.
Serta credits its Cool Action Gel Memory Foam with reducing tossing and turning. Gel is betteer known for cooling, but it was first used to make memory foam more supportive. Memory foam is conforming. Being temperature sensitive, it cradles the sleeper while reducing pressure on large joints. It also maintains support on smaller areas, such as the lumbar.
The Individual Advantage 886 Innerspring consists of wrapped pocket coils. Pocket coils were invented by James Marshall specifically to support the lower back and relieve pressure points. They do this by responding independently to conform to the user's body contours.
The layer of Cool Action Gel Memory Foam in the Reedsworth Super Pillow Top is extra thick for cooling. This memory foam is infused with Serta's MicroSupport® gel. According to Serta, 2015 is the first time this has appeared in Perfect Sleeper mattresses.
Both memory foam and pocket coils reduce or eliminate motion transfer. This cancels partner disturbance caused by one sleeper's movements being felt by the other. Together, this is called TrueSense® 4.0 design by Serta. It has "4-way motion isolation."
Serta uses foam encasement, called Total Edge®, for edge support in the Reedsworth Super Pillow Top. This is part of Serta's ComfortLast® Construction.
The pillow top of this mattress uses Serta's Comfort XD™ Foam with a combination of comfort and support foams. This is similar to, though not exactly like, the other pillowtop models in this collection. This is to make the sleeping surface softer.
Like other Perfect Sleeper mattressess, the Reedsworth Super Pillowtop Elite is compatible with adjustable beds. Serta sells several, including the Pivot heads-up base and the Motion Essentials II.
The Reedsworth Super Pillow Top Elite is covered by Serta's 10-year non-prorated warranty. Some retailers have a 100 night sleep trial period.
