Sterling Sleep Systems are best known for two product lines: hotel innerspring mattresses and waterbeds. The former line is known to the hospitality industry, the latter to consumers.
As with most waterbed manufacturers, Sterling makes both hardside and softside beds. Each kind has at least three series.
There are three depths of softside waterbeds: 8" Deep Fill, 6.25" Mid-Fill, and 3.5" Shallow Fill. Seven models are listed on the Sterling website.
Sterling Sleep Systems lists 12 hardside models. The Waterbed Doctor presents them in three series.
A look at exploded views of Sterling waterbeds shows a feature which seems unique, the form of the bottom of the support unit in the S-Series.
According to Sterling, they have their own water bladder material, Sterling Endura III Waterbed PVC. Development of this vinyl was commissioned by Sterling for their use. The company cites the certifications this substance has received for quality and health safety (such as levels of heavy metals). They also state that they use "the finest resins and plasticizers available for the application."
Softside and hardside Sterling waterbeds are reviewed separately.
