Hardside waterbeds are the original product line of United States Watermattress. They also produce softside waterbeds and airbeds.
On their website, they list eight hadside waterbed models from free flow (Full Motions) to 7 layers. Two models have lumbar support. This is essentially a sample of their product line. For instance, ABC Waterbed lists 16 models, seven of which have lumbar support.
The current line of US Watermattress hardside models on the market is the 9000 Series, with model numbers from 9100 to 9903. The second digit indicates the number of fiber layers. Models 9200 through 9900 have a 9n03 version. Those with the last digit 3 have lumbar support.
The fiber in fiber layers used by United States Watermetress is made by DuPont. The purpose of fiber layers is to control wave action in the mattress. The Full Motion water mattress has no fiber. Models 9500 and up are classified as waveless waterbeds. Models 9403 and down are semi-waveless.
More fiber layers in a waterbed makes it firmer. Here is a sampling of mattress firmness levels:
U.S. Watermattress 9200 - Plush
U.S. Watermattress 9400 - Firm
U.S. Watermattress 9700 - Very Firm
U.S. Watermattress 9900 - Ultra Firm
United States Watermattress also makes the water cores (water mattresses) for hardside waterbeds produced by DanAja in Slovenia.
Hardside waterbeds by US Watermattress are sold in several waterbed stores, especially in the mid-Atlantic area. They are also sold on line by ABC Waterbed and a few others. The Waterbed Doctor sells replacement parts for hardside waterbeds. United States Watermattress makes parts for waterbeds made by companies that are out of business or who no longer make them.
Hardside waterbed mattresses made by US Watermattress are covered by a 5-year warranty.
