Serta Motion Custom

Serta Motion Custom is the top-of-the-line adjustable bed sold by mattress manufacturer Serta. It has all of the features of Serta Motion Signature and adds several more, such as an adjustable lumbar support, an independent head tilt support, magnetic patches for holding remotes, and a wireless speaker system. Motion Custom is compatible with all iComfort and iSeries mattresses.

The remote control can be held to the bed frame by magnetic panels sewn to the bed's upholstery on each side. The remote is backlit and has 4 preset positions and 2 programmable ones. It is Bluetooth compatible, and the bed can be controlled via a smart phone or tablet.

The remote has a button to synchronize the massage for simultaneously activating the head and foot. The massage has six levels, as well as a choice of wave or frequency mode. The timer selects 10, 20 or 30 minutes.

A feature common to most adjustable beds is the Wall-Saver function, which keeps the user in line with the nightstand.

Changing the sheets on the mattress should be easier than with other adjustable beds. Serta Motion Custom has a unique feature called ZipFit. The mattress fits the bed exactly without retainer bars. The mattress also conforms to the adjustable foundation as it is raised and lowered.

The articulated steel frame of the Serta Motion Custom adjustable base is powered by Next Generation Silent Drive motors with a lifting capacity of up to 850 lbs. In a split base, this applies to each side. It has a Zero Standby Power System. When the bed is not in use, this uses half a watt or less of energy. In case of a power outage, the adjustable base has a battery backup, enough to allow the user to return the bed to a flat position.

The Serta Motion Custom comes with several accessories, such as headboard brackets and optional legs and casters.

The Serta Motion Custom is available through several retailers, both local stores and national chains. It has a 25 year Ergomotion warranty.
