iComfort Renewal EverFeel

At 12½" high, the Renewal EverFeel is, along with the Prodigy EverFeel, the third highest model in the 2014 iComfort Collection of memory foam mattresses made by Serta. As part of the 2014 revision of Serta mattresses, this is the successor to the iComfort Renewal Refined. As part of the iComfort (EverFeel) collection, Renewal EverFeel features EverFeel™ Technology, Cool Action™ Dual Effects® Gel Memory Foam, and the Comfort Last® Foam Core with Ultimate Edge® Support. To this it adds one layer of Serta® Support Foam and two layers of Cool Action Gel Memory Foam.

At the top of the mattress is a ¾" layer of EverFeel™ Technology. Whether it is memory foam or not might be debated by some people. EverFeel foam does not depend on heat to conform to the body. It still conforms to body contours for even support and pressure relief. Then when the sleeper moves, EverFeel quickly adjusts to the new position. The name comes from the claim that the user ever feels memory foam conformity.

The next signature feature of 2014 iComfort and iSeries mattresses is the Cool Action™ Dual Effects® Gel Memory Foam. Serta added a second gel to its Cool Action™ Gel Memory Foam, giving it 25% more gel than the existing version. The first gel is Serta MicroSupport®. Beads of this gel are concentrated under areas of the body needing extra support, giving the foam zoned support.

To this Serta added their new Microcool+™ gel. This gel contains phase change materials (PCMs) for temperature regulation. PCMs change their physical state to keep temperatures within a designated range. At the top of the range, they absorb heat by liquifying. At the bottom of the range they release heat by solidifying.

Below the Dual Effects are two 1" layers of Cool Action™ Gel Memory Foam, infused with Serta's Microsupport gel. Serta emphasizes that the gel is actually infused into the foam, not coated or blended. The Microsupport works best when beads are placed where needed.

Comfort Last® Foam Core constitutes the support unit of the iComfort Renewal EverFeel memory foam mattress. It is about 6¼" thick, an inch thinner than in the Vivacious EverFeel. Made of high density, high resiliency base foam, it supports the softer comfort foams. This prevents bottoming out and prolongs the usable lifetime of the memory foam.

The support core is encircled by Serta's Ultimate Edge® foam encasement. This is not only perimeter support for the support foam, but edge support for the sleeping surface.

The preferred foundations for the Renewal EverFeel are platform beds (such as the StabL Base Foundation by Serta) and adjustable beds (such as the Serta Motion Perfect made by Ergomotion). They also may be compatible with European-style wood slat bases.

The warranty on the iComfort Renewal EverFeel mattress in Serta's 25-year limited warranty. Serta also offers a 120-night sleep trial period.

iComfort mattresses, including the Renewal EverFeel, are widely available through many retailers, national and local, both in stores and online, as well as through the Serta website.
