These pillows and others are also sold by on-site and online retailers, often separately from the manufacturer's other products, including mattresses.

Each of these factors into a customer's selection of a pillow and how the customer rates that pillow. The top ten Amazon pillow reviews also include four other pillows which are very similar to the Relief-Mart products. All seven of these pillows are filled with shredded memory foam and have covers made with bamboo fibers. Another top ten pillow (#9) is filled with shredded memory foam and gel-infused fibers. The two remaining members of the top ten are a buckwheat pillow (#4) and a down alternative pillow (#10).
The CozyCloud Bamboo Shredded Memory Foam Pillow has an average customer rating of 4.9 stars [actually 4.85] out of 5 stars at the time of this writing. Billed by Relief-Mart as "Cozy Like Down With Support That Never Goes Flat!" this shredded memory foam pillow could be considered a down alternative pillow. Fluffing is not needed, as it is with down.
Relief-Mart says it has the cradling of memory foam with a quicker return to shape. The reason is that the pieces of foam are left from cutting the 4-lb. memory foam used in the top layers of its memory foam mattresses. This foam is less heat sensitive and more pressure sensitive than the 5-lb. memory foam used further down in the mattresses (as in the Soft- Pedic). the foam is made in the United States and is certified by CertiPur-US.
The manufacturer says this pillow is not only "cozy like down," but "cool as a cloud" (thus the name CozyCloud). The cover is a 43/57 blend of bamboo fibers and polyester. This fabric also has micro-vents for airflow, so it is tagged Kool-Flow™.
Dr. Rick Swartzburg, the designer of the CozyCloud pillow, says it "is perfect for those sleepers who want a traditional shape design and a softer feel, but want the extra support that comes with a higher grade memory foam blend." The Body Pillow by Snuggle-Pedic was the top pillow on Amazon before the introduction of the CozyCloud. Right now it has an average customer rating of 4.8 [4.75] stars on Amazon with 88% of reviewers giving it 5 stars. Like the later model, it is filled with shredded memory foam and covered with a bamboo-polyester blend Kool-Flow™ micro-vented fabric.
The Body Pillow comes in one size. It takes a 20" wide by 54" long pillowcase. Relief-Mart says the size is variable depending on how is is used. In other words, it is very conformable because of the shredded memory foam inside.
The Snuggle-Pedic Body Pillow has a 90-day trial period and is covered by a 20-year warranty. It can be ordered directly from Selectabed (Relief-Mart's mattress sales division), but shipping is free if ordered through Amazon.
The #4 pillow in the Top Ten on Amazon is the ComfySleep Buckwheat Pillow. This is the only member of this group with a natural filling. A buckwheat pillow is filled with buckwheat hulls from the same grain used to make buckwheat pancakes. Buckwheat: eat it for breakfast, sleep on it at night.
The #7 pillow of the Top Ten Pillows on Amazon is the Bamboo Covered Stay Cool Shredded Gel Memory Foam Pillow from the Five Diamond Collection. Made in the United States, this pillow differs from the top two in using memory foam which is gel-infused. Shredded memory foam by itself is cooler than a slab of memory foam, since it lets more air flow through. Gel has an initial cooling effect as it absorbs heat. Like most of the other shredded memory foam pillows in the Top Ten, the cover is a blend with bamboo fibers.
The #9 member of the Top Ten Pillows is the Clara Clark Shredded Memory Foam Gel Fiber-Filled Cool All Side Sleeper Bed Pillow. The nature of the "gel fiber" is not explained. This could be the manner in which gel is introduced into the memory foam, but gel-infused fibers may also be mixed with the shredded memory foam.
The cover of this pillow from Clara Clark Canada is made of rayon derived from bamboo. Rayon is known for feeling like silk. It is also hypoallergenic and dust mite resistant.
The #10 pillow in the Top Ten is the Charisma Jumbo Luxury Down Alternative Pillows - 2pk. The alternative for down in this pillow is polyester fiber filling, a material also used by thousands of quilters. The cover is 100% cotton.
